A 4.1 magnitude earthquake shook parts of Riverside and San Diego counties early Monday morning.
The epicenter of the temblor, which was reported at 4:35 a.m., was ten miles north of Palomar Observatory and about 15 miles east of Temecula in the Cleveland National Forest, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
Residents reported feeling the quake from Murietta to Del Cerro, in Ramona, Valley Center, Oceanside and downtown San Diego where one person said they were woke up by the swaying.
Another small quake of 1.0 was reported about five minutes later.
